Stunningly situated right on the beach in Oceano, this oceanfront home offers a wonderful, tranquil escape for families or a group of people. Wake up each morning to the sights and sounds of the Pacific Ocean, and sip your coffee on one of two glassed-in decks with a porch swing and sweeping views of the water. This beautifully remodeled home also features three fireplaces, a Ping-Pong table in the garage, and a fleet of bikes to take around the neighborhood. This light-filled home sits directly on the beach in Oceano, offering a private walkway from the backyard to the sand. You can explore the Dune Trail or the Beach Trail at Oceano Dunes Natural Preserve immediately north, or catch a few thrills with an excursion to the Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area just beyond. The heart of Oceano is one mile inland, Pismo Beach (home of the famous Pismo Beach Pier and the Monarch Butterfly Grove) is three miles north, and the charming town of San Luis Obispo awaits 15 miles north. Great place! This was my second time staying at this house (first through AirBnb) and it was just as lovely as I remembered from years ago. The view of the sunset from the balcony is unbelievable! The one set back was that the fridge in the kitchen was not working when we arrived. We got in touch with Vacasa and they quickly responded and will be sending a technician to assess. Thankfully we were able to use the working fridge in the garage, but it was a little inconvenient seeing that we had to climb the stairs more often than we had hoped! We would definitely come back!

Awesome house and a perfect location to be able to be right on the beach. Great sand break between where the off road guys are driving so you can have a nice little gathering between the house and the protected area for a fire or whatever without worry. Literally walk out bedroom deck and onto the sand, doesn’t get any easier than that. If the sand break is too high, walk two houses down to the access point and you’re set.

Love our vacation!

This was our 4th time renting this home. There are 10 of us with 4 kids and 6 adults. The kids love their area downstairs with each having a bunk bed. The kids have their own shower and TV. They loved the beach access. The adults each had their own bathroom and bedroom. This house works really well for the grandparents, the kids and the grandkids. The view from the living room is priceless. The house certainly has its own little charm. Hoping to come back for a 5th time.

Our family loved our stay. There were 2 grandmas, 1 auntie, 1 great auntie, my daughter and her husband and their 3 teenagers. The house was spacious, and the unique themed bedrooms gave it extra character. The location truly can’t be beat — right on the beach, with beautiful views and easy access for morning walks and sunset watching. We were able to watch whales from the deck! We especially appreciated the large dining table where everyone could gather for meals and games, and the kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed for cooking in. Everything matched the listing perfectly. The kids loved the huge bedroom downstairs where they could get away from the “old folks”. The comments were “the bunk beds were cool”, and the “pingpong table was fun”. Everyone enjoyed the bikes - the neighborhood was great for bike rides and walking. Everyone said they want to come back again and we highly recommend it to families or groups looking for a beach getaway.

We loved the property, though based on the weekend we chose, there was more "on the beach, 4-wheel drive traffic." If you are an early riser, the beach is serene and beautiful in the morning hours before all the cars go back and forth (which is somewhat surreal).  We did love the beach access for walks and bonfire-making. The house has many coffee cups and fun pics of people posing with these artifacts. The pantry is filled with needed cooking and serving surprises. The place was clean and very spacious. It's a quirky, friendly, sweet, functional space.  The location is excellent as you are 10-15 minutes away from various fun escapades (Madonna Inn, Butterfly Sanctuary, downtown SLO & Arroyo Grande for more food, walking, and shopping pleasure.). We had some hiccups with the Bose Soundsystem and the downstairs fireplaces.  Vacasa Property Rental did its best to solve and accommodate these issues.  We appreciate their efforts, and in the end, they stood accountable - a tough trait to find these days.  #grateful This spot is worth the stay - book it!

This house has everything you need! The kitchen was very well stocked, as was the pantry for things like saran wrap, serving trays, and spices. We had two drawers full of plenty of silverware which we went through for the big meals we cooked, but never ran out. There are pans/lids and mixing bowls of every size, lots of measuring spoons/cups, every utensil you could need from spatulas to whisks to cook every one of your favorite dishes. The rooms were comfortable with plenty of space to spread out, and the bathrooms had the most wonderful scents in the air. We had a fabulous time celebrating Trump's victory together, and will definitely be planning a return. One wee suggestion from the crew is to spend a day changing lightbulbs, and replacing remote batteries including in the fireplaces. There are enough lights out that it makes getting the ladder out worthwhile. OR, stash some spares someplace. We would have happily changed them if there were extras around. Half of the master bedroom was completely dark. Still, it didn't take away from our trip whatsoever, and we really appreciated having some laundry soap, dish soap, paper towels, plenty of toilet paper, and trash bags handy. Rent this house! You won't be disappointed. Oh and don't worry about the decibel meter in the description. You are so close to the ocean that the waves are the loudest thing you hear. We are a group of old friends who tell a lot of stories, do a lot of laughing, and were concerned this might be one of those...

Our local manager has confirmed that they have brought these issues to the homeowner and stated that the fireplace batteries have been replaced, master bedroom has only 2 nightstand lights. We had a group of 8 family members staying at this house. There were plenty of rooms and bathrooms for everyone. The decor was very nice. Views of the ocean and sunsets were spectacular. The kitchen and bathrooms had plenty of everything we needed. There was a nice big table for family meals and games, and we enjoyed sitting in front of the fireplace having some great conversations. We had a wonderful family time and would definitely recommend this rental for any group looking for a fun, relaxing time at the beach.

This was a great place to spend a family vacation with plenty of beds the location with beach access is perfect. Not having a fire pit as listed was a bummer and not offering a grill when you are paying to stay in a home most people cook and grill. Outside of that we enjoyed ping pong, badminton and corn hole on the beach. The best shells at low tide too - and the fireplaces were perfect.

The location is amazing and breathtaking. It is the perfect spot for my family. Location, location, location. Daily walks on the beach and enjoying sunset at night. Proximity to the butterfly grove, the town of Pismo Beach, Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo was perfect. This home has a beautiful master suite, 4 bathrooms, a large table for game nights, and a nice sized deck. My only complaint (which is minor) is that the deck railing obstructed the view of the sunset if you’re sitting on the deck chairs.

Perfect location with awesome views for our beachfront getaway. This home had plenty of space with a bed for each of our 8 adult women. The decorating scheme was very eclectic and fun. While the furniture was quite worn and somewhat uncomfortable, that did not take away from our experience. Would have been nice to know that the built in microwave and ice maker did not work and the windows definitively needed cleaning. But, we would definitely come again.

Grandparents, 3 kids with spouses and three grandchildren loved the space casa de cuckoo . The bunk room was perfect for the kids and the adults enjoyed the comfortable bedrooms. The kitchen was well stocked although the oven gave us some trouble the last morning. The location right on the beach was wonderful and the four wheeling on the dunes was a highlight. Enjoy!

This is an amazing property for 3 reasons. 1) literally on the beach. If you fell off the patio you would land in beautiful, soft sand. 2) The layout of the house is really well done. It show cases the incredible location and allows the property to have the feeling of basking in sunlight during the day and admiring the sunsets at night. 3) Most importantly, this place was not decorated like the owner was trying to make it feel like a perfect social media page. It was decorated with fantastic artwork/album covers of classic rock bands, had old school colored glass from the 60s and every drawer and cabinet had something that made you laugh or curious. Also, their coffee mug collection was the best collection i have ever seen (my personal fav being "Good morning, *sshole" with a cute little bird on it). Overall, I would highly recommend this to someone who is looking to enjoy a vacation while feeling at home. Thank you guys!

A few issues

One of the twin beds had wet bedding.. Possibly a cleaning agent was spilled. Had to wash and dry. Need new fry pans and additional flatware. No storage in the kitchen for our groceries. Had to keep on floor in boxes we had. No additional toilet paper. No batteries for the remote in the master bedroom fireplace. Would have been nice for the windows on the terrace to have been cleaned. Overall we had a great time. Kids loved playing on the dunes. Called and emailed manager, no response. Yes would recommend to friends.

Hot tub is not in working order. Use caution when using the steps to the beach from the house. Limited comfortable seating in the family room, if you have a large group. The remote for the fireplace in the bunk room is on the wall. Overall, would stay again. It was clean, well-stocked, and accommodated our large group adequately enough.

We had a wonderful time! The house is beautifully decorated and has a lot of kitchen equipment, which made large family meals easy. Lots of bathrooms. Wonderful views of the beach , which has some interesting activity. Please note that there is a fairly high (over 10 feet) dune which might be difficult for the elderly and out of shape to navigate, but there is easier access a few blocks down. It is a fabulous place for a family vacation!

Spacious and comfortable vacation home!

We were two families staying at this home with 5 kids (Ages 2.5 - 6). The home was perfect! There was plenty of space for the kids to play and rooms for everyone. We loved the character of this home and appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was for cooking meals in. We had a great time going out to the beach each morning. While the beach itself has quite a bit of cars driving on it, there was some sand dunes right outside the property that was both sheltered from the wind and the perfect spot for the kids to roll down the sandy hill and play in the sand. It was a short drive to Pismo and Avila Beach to venture out. Great home and would recommend!

We came up with 11 family members and thoroughly enjoyed the house. The house is huge with tons of sleeping options for everyone. The "kids" 18-25 took over the bunk room and had a blast! The house is clean, comfortable and very well stocked. The best of all was the view of the dunes and ocean. We loved it and hope to return next year.

TERRIFIC home right ON the beach. Everything we needed for cooking and playing. Comfy beds, lots of towels, space to spread out as well as good great room to gather. Imagine maybe a bit too much auto/ATV activity on busy holiday beach weekends with the dunes nearby but with shut down due to COVID and mid week February no problem at all with cars/traffic... LOVED this home!

Perfect Vacation Home for Families

We loved the size of this house, the many sleeping spots with comfy beds, the cleanliness, and the many additional items such as extra beach chairs and beach towels on hand. The kitchen has a huge pantry with plenty of space for food storage, and even some spices and condiments on hand. There is more than one coffee pot, a crock pot, and many serving dishes and storage containers. Knowing this, there is no need to overpack. The bedrooms have lots of colorful decor, each room having its own theme. Whomever owns this home are obviously world travelers, and their decorating style reflects this. The individual coffee mugs are fun! There are loads of books and games and three great fireplaces that we certainly enjoyed on the cool evenings. We also loved the Adirondack rockers on the upper deck, and the hot tub on the deck below.

The house was large enough for 5 branches of the family to have their own room and space but could all get together in one place. The house was very comfortable and well furnished. Access to the beach was great. Vacasa was prompt and resolved our issue with the hot water fast. We are planning to go back to this house for our family vacation next year.

What an amazing time our family had here!!! We booked the house somewhat last minute and were pleasantly surprised to find such a beautiful and fun home right on the beach. We had never been to Oceano or Pismo beach so we had no idea what to expect. This house was not only charming but full of cute touches and an awesome set up for big families or groups of friends. The BUNK BED room is by far the coolest room you’ll ever stay in. Our kids loved it so much we had to pry them out of there. It was nice to have that many beds in one big room for the kiddos but it’s awesome for adults too. We were there for the 4th of July and had a wonderful BBQ outside on deck while watching fireworks and all the bustle of cars down on beach. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and ample room for eating. We were very impressed with this home and highly recommend it! Great for families and groups. We will definitely try to come back here again!!

Short-Term Stays (28 nights or less):

• 100% Refund: Cancel within 48 hours of booking.
• 60+ Days Before Arrival: 100% refund of all charges.
• 30–59 Days Before Arrival: Refund of all charges except the booking fee.
• 8–29 Days Before Arrival: 50% refund of all charges except the booking fee. Booking fee not refunded. 
• 7 Days or Less Before Arrival: No refund.

Long-Term Stays (29 nights or longer):

• 6+ Months Before Arrival: 100% refund.
• 91 Days–6 Months Before Arrival: Refund of all charges except the booking fee.

• 60 Days or Less Before Arrival: No refund of rent or booking fee; other fees refunded.
